‘The Surface’ (Single) begins with harsh but brittle textures, steamrolled by a thick, clean, synthetic, pulsating soundscape. It's a track full of intricate melodies and sparse production qualities with a vocal line which moulds effortlessly through its harmonies. It's lyrics take aim at raising questions on the search for authenticity in a superficial age, about the current fabric of society in a post-digital world, a world stuck on the surface.
